BEIJING - World No 1 Mark Serby overwhelmed Gary Wilson 10-2 in the final of 2015 snooker China Open on Sunday.

Serby started his third China Open final by taking three straight frames before Wilson finally managed to pull one back with a 91-point break.

But Serby showed dominance after the interval by winning five frames in a row. The 145-point break he made in the seventh frame was the new record in this year's tournament.

Led at 8-1, Serby hit a brilliant 136-point break in the opening frame in the evening session. Wilson responded with a 101-point break before Serby wrapped up the victory with an 83-32 frame to celebrate his first China Open title.

The 10-2 marks the largest gap for a final match in the China Open.

Serby made it to the finals of China Open twice before - in 2011 and 2013, but he was upset by Trump 10-8 in the first time and Robertson 10-6 two years later.

"I lost in the final twice, a few years ago in the China Open, so to win for the first time is a great feeling," said Serby.

As the worlds defending champion, Serby said he will prepare for the Championship without much practice.

"Next a few days I may try to get some days' rest, recover from the jetlag in this trip. Then I will be back on the practice, the championship is a long tournament, over two weeks, you don't want to go there and be over-practiced," he added.
