PE class exercises mix basketball skills and music
A thousand students from a primary school in Rongcheng, a coastal city of Shandong province, have practiced their skills in playing basketball by being active in the sport every day.
The students have been able to improve their dribbling, passing and blocking skills by listening, and moving, to music.
Representatives of the Rongcheng Experimental Primary School have spent the past six years creating an appropriate basketball program, tailoring the exercises to the students' fitness levels and body conditions.
Liu Zhongwei, a Rongcheng education authority, said the activity has not only enriched the lives of students' at school, but strengthened their sense of honour and responsibility.
The male basketball team has already won gold medals intheir matches with the primary and middle school students, and the female team has taken home six gold medals in a row.
The school was further named a national-level demonstration school of physical education in 2015.
