Pop singer Justin Bieber has abruptly canceled the remaining Purpose World Tour because of "unforeseen circumstances," just days after he was banned from performing in China due to his bad behaviors.

The cancellation will affect 14 dates in Asia and North America and ticket holders will get refunds, according to a statement from his management.

"Justin loves his fans and hates to disappoint them,” the statement reads. "However, after careful consideration he has decided he will not be performing any further dates. Tickets will be refunded at point of purchase.”

The 23-year-old Canadian superstar made no comment on his social media, but celebrity news website T.M.Z. reported that Bieber called off the shows because he is "just over it."

The Purpose World Tour began in March 2016 and has grossed more than 256 million US dollars, according to data from music tour trade publication Pollstar. Bieber has so far performed more than 150 shows across Europe, Africa, South America, Australia and parts of Asia.

China last week announced that Bieber was unwelcome to perform in the country due to his misbehavior.

"Justin Bieber is a talented yet controversial young foreign singer. As far as we know, as a celebrity, he frequently misbehaves in his social life and concert performances, which aggrieved the public," said the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Culture on its official website.

To regulate the domestic performance market and purify the environment, performers who frequently misbehave in public are deemed inappropriate to be allowed into China, said the bureau.

Bieber, who broke into stardom in 2008 as a 14-year-old boy, has had numerous run-ins with police around the world and has become notorious for a string of scandals in recent years.
