Georg Jensen reveals travel gear
Denmark brand Georg Jensen hosted a "Journey of Infinity" forum to reveal its latest travel suitcase and travel gear collection at George Jensen Hus in Beijing.
Georg Jensen Chairman and Creative Director David Chu, Chinese architect Ma Yansong, model-turned-designer Lyu Yan and GQ Chinese edition editor-in-chief Wang Feng shared stories about travel.
Danish silversmith Georg Jensen established the brand with his name in 1904 to produce high-quality silver jewelry. Now the company, known for quality craftsmanship and timeless design, has expanded its business of lifestyle products. Merchandise ranges from watches, accessories, tableware and home décor to bar and wine items.
This is the first time that Georg Jensen had produced travel cases, as Chu loves traveling and also has experience working with suitcase manufacturer Tumi.
Born in Taiwan in 1955, the designer and entrepreneur is best known as the founder of Nautica, a men’s outerwear company. In 2007, he was named executive creative director of Tumi. In November 2012, he bought Georg Jensen.
