China backs DPRK-ROK dialogue, Xi tells Moon

China supports the efforts of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) and the Republic of Korea (ROK) to push for dialogue and communication for the resolution of the Korean Peninsula issue, President Xi Jinping told his ROK counterpart Moon Jae-in on Thursday in a phone call.
China has always been supportive of the two sides to improve relations, Xi said.
China would like to make joint efforts with ROK to enhance strategic communication and properly handle sensitive issues, he said.
China is willing to push forward substantial cooperation with ROK and jointly maintain regional peace and stability, Xi added.
