Registering a company takes only one yuan ($0.16), business certificates can be registered through WeChat and starting a company only requires one certificate and one code. Business registration reform is moving forward to create a better business environment, and make it easier to do business.

Business registration reform was put on the agenda of the first State Council executive meeting of the present government. Over the past five years, the topic has been discussed many times at State Council executive meetings. Market access has been lowered, making it much easier for startups.

Registration is facilitated with fewer visits to related government departments. Issuing certificates before permits, combining multiple permits into one, separating business certificates from permits and cutting permits after issuing the certificate mean less time applying for permits. A slew of policies has been issued to make it easier to do business. But operational and post-operational supervision on businesses should not be eased, and market order with fair competition should be protected.

Premier Li Keqiang has urged removing hurdles against innovation and development, challenges for entrepreneurship and blind spots in market supervision. Our business environment is getting better and better. Business system reform and favorable policies for startups are creating new momentum for mass entrepreneurship and innovation. The number of new market entities is growing rapidly. Business environment equals productivity!
