Beijing museum to host exhibition of Eliasson's works
Olafur Eliasson, 51, is a celebrated artist who does installations, paintings, sculptures, photography and films.
And the artist, who divides his time between Copenhagen and Berlin, is widely acclaimed for his solo exhibitions at major museums around the world.
Now, three of his works, The Blind Pavilion, Your Sound Galaxy and Water Pendulum, have been acquired by Beijing's Red Brick Art Museum, founded by Chinese art collector and sponsor Yan Shijie.
The three works will be at the heart of a large-scale exhibition about Eliasson's art, to be held at the museum from March 25 to Aug 12.
The exhibition, titled Olafur Eliasson: The Unspeakable Openness of Things, will occupy almost all of the museum's space.
Eliasson made his China debut at Nothingness Is Not Nothing At All, an exhibition at Shanghai's Long Museum in 2016.
