Lebanon condemns bomb attack against Palestinian PM
BEIRUT -- Lebanon's Prime Minister Saad Hariri condemned Wednesday the bomb attack that targeted Palestinian Prime Minister Rami Hamdallah in Gaza, the PM's media office said in a statement.
According to the statement, Hariri sent a cable to Hamdallah condemning the attack against him and congratulating him on his safety.
"In my personal name and on behalf of the Lebanese government, I strongly denounce the bomb attack that targeted you in Gaza city, which is a despicable attempt to hit the Palestinian national unity and disrupt the reconciliation that you are seeking under the leadership of President Mahmoud Abba," Hariri said.
"As I reiterate my condemnation of this criminal act, I hope you will continue your efforts to achieve the aspirations of the Palestinian people for freedom and the establishment of its independent state," he added.
