The Harvest Library
Harvest, a bimonthly literary magazine started by author Ba Jin, celebrated its 60th anniversary at the end of last year. Many established writers had their first works published in the magazine and have continued to be regular contributors - from Lao She to Wang Anyi to Di An. To record the path of modern Chinese literature over the past six decades, the magazine has published The Harvest Library, a collection of 160 stories and 120 essays in 29 volumes by 180 writers who appeared in the magazine between 1957 and 2017. The edition includes 11 volumes of novels, nine volumes of collected novellas, four collections of short stories and four collections of essays.
