College and enterprises hold hand on talents training
Chang’an University, headquartered in Xi’an, Shaanxi province, signed an agreement with Shaanxi Auto Holding Group Co., Ltd. (SAHG) on cooperation of international personnel training on Monday.
According to the agreement, the two sides will share teaching and training experiences to improve their innovation and technology levels and cultivate talents in advanced manufacturing.
They will also cooperate in the mass production of technological achievements, which will benefit the public.
At the signing ceremony, Chen Feng, president of Chang’an University, explained that the university has trained a large number of talented and specialized international students, particularly those from the developing countries, for the past 60 years or more.
“It is significant that colleges can cooperate with enterprises like SAHG on talents training," Chen said. "Cooperation among countries involved in the Belt and Road Initiative is improving, which brings new opportunities for college-enterprise cooperation.”
Yuan Hongming, chairman of SAHG, stressed that besides its engagement with the Belt and Road Initiative, the company supports students from Kazakhstan and Algeria financially to study at Chang’an University.
SAHG ranks No. 22 among the Top 500 Chinese Mechanical Manufacturers and is mainly engaged in the production of heavy military off-road vehicles, large and medium heavy trucks which use diesel, natural gas and electric power systems, and large and medium-sized buses as well as related car services and trade.
Its products have been exported to more than 100 countries and regions in Europe, Asia and Africa, and it has opened local factories in Kazakhstan, Algeria, Kenya, Nigeria and Malaysia.
