Royal wedding guest sells her free goodie bag for over $28,000 on eBay
LONDON - A guest at the wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle has sold the free goodie bag she received for 21,400 pounds ($28,571) on eBay, a newspaper reported Wednesday.
Human resources (HR) manager Claire Oliver, 31, was among more than 2,000 members of the public invited into the grounds of Windsor Castle on Saturday, according to the Evening Standard newspaper.
Inside the canvas bag, bearing the initials of the couple, was a welcome letter from Harry and Meghan, an order of service, a bottle of water, a tin of shortbread, a chocolate coin and a voucher for the Windsor Castle gift shop.
Oliver did not wish to discuss why she had sold the bag, the newspaper said, and she pointed to a number of other guests who had followed suit.
Other goodie bags on the auction site range in price from 10 pounds ($13.34) to several hundreds of pounds.
