Energy conservation forum in Guangzhou to attract global companies
The China International Energy Conservation, Energy Storage and Clean Energy Expo 2018 scheduled for August in Guangzhou is expected to offer a good platform for both domestic and overseas companies to further increase their presence in the vast Chinese market and expand Sino-foreign cooperation.
Shi Liren, an expert of energy conservation, said the energy conservation industries in Guangdong province and the entire country have of great potential in the years to come as both the central and Guangdong provincial governments have attached great importance to the development of the energy conservation industry.
"The investment space for energy conservation industry in the mainland is huge," Shi, from Guangdong Energy Conservation Association, told a news conference in Guangdong provincial capital Guangzhou on Wednesday.
He urged companies from home and abroad to spare no effort to seize the golden opportunities (to expand and enhance Sino-foreign cooperation) in the mainland market.
More than 1,000 companies from the United States, Europe, Japan, the Association of the Southeast Asian Nations and the Chinese mainland will attend the event, with their aims to further explore the Chinese energy conservation market and seek Sino-foreign cooperation opportunities, He Rao, secretary-general of Guangdong Energy Conservation Association, said.
Covering a floor space of more than 130,000 squares in Guangzhou Pazhou International Convention and Exhibition Center, the event scheduled for August 16 to 18 is projected to attract more than 100,000 professionals and visitors from around the world, he said.
The event, the 8th this year, has now become the largest energy conservation expo held in Asia, according to He.

Meanwhile special forums, lectures and exchanges will also be held during the event to help Sino-foreign companies and executives to better understand the development of the world's and China's energy conservation industry and market, Ou said.
