Li-Ning makes a big comeback with new designs
On June 21, a model wore red and yellow, a signature color combination in China, during the Li-Ning couture event at the 2019 Sring/Summer Paris Fashion Week.
Another model, in pure white, slung a red bag around his neck, with a bold print: China Li-Ning.
Dazzled with street-style sportswear, the show spoke aloud the ambition and pride of the brand.
In fact, the once leading sportswear producer in China, almost met its death after 2010.
However, Li Ning, the founder of the brand, breathed new life into it with a series of new ideas and changes in 2015.
This February, the appearance of Li-Ning at the New York Fashion Week surprised people both at home and abroad. It has transformed into something very modern with a trendy street look, rather than the old-fashioned brand.
"The show in New York is a turning point for Li-Ning's image. In the past, almost every Chinese knew Li-Ning, yet they never connected it with fashion," Feng Ye, general manager of e-commerce of Li-Ning said.
Feng said their new designs have a strong appeal to the young Chinese people who were brought up in the peak time of Chinese economy. These young souls, as a new generation of patriots, are proud of their motherland, which offer many chances for the future of Li-Ning.
