Hungarian composer Zoltan Kodaly (1882-1967) regarded music education and the preservation of folk music as two of the most important undertakings in his life.
His methods of safeguarding traditional music inspired musicians both from Hungary and around the world and his skills were much in demand.
Kodaly has also long been a source of inspiration for Hungarian artists, who often incorporate his life and education views into their works.
