In the sixth episode, Hawick Lau, a famous actor who became a crossover from actor to singer on TV program King Cross, will read a poem by Irene Dunlap, On Changes.

Hawick Lau revealed his personal journey on the crossover from the acting stage to the singing stage. He confessed that he is laid back most of the time. When he is acting, he could hide his true self behind his character, but when he appears as a singer, he must be totally engaged in the song he is performing. Another reason he chose to pick up the microphone once more is that he wanted to recollect the passion he had in music during the initial stages of his career.

As the poem goes, "Change is the only absolute in the world." Lau encourages young people to challenge themselves and step out of their comfort zone.

Poetry Moment is an original short video series by China Daily website, broadcast every Thursday at 2 pm. Stay tuned.
