Chinese President Xi Jinping unveiled eight major initiatives for the next three years and beyond to build a closer community with a shared future for China and Africa.
At the Beijing Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation, Xi made the announcement in his keynote speech at the opening ceremony of the summit at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing. The plan constitutes a road map for China and the continent to build an even stronger community with a shared future.
African leaders said their continent stands ready to further cement its partnership with China and promote win-win cooperation under the China-proposed Belt and Road Initiative.
