3 Neapolitan-style
Beijing's popular Italian restaurant Bottega, which is known for its authentic Neapolitan-style pizzas, has launched a new autumn menu at its Xinyuanli location. The menu offers seven new dishes including a starter using imported Italian burrata, a roasted eggplant puree with balsamic sauce, five different kinds of pasta, and a risotto. Bottega is run by two brothers, Daniele and Paulo Salvo, who are the grandsons of Salvatore Salvo, a pizza master from Naples. The eatery claims to have the most authentic Neapolitan-style pizzas (thinner, chewier, and moister) in town as all the ingredients and equipment they use, including the flour, cheese, the traditional stone oven and even the eco-friendly charcoal, are imported from Italy.
