Sotheby's will auction its first conceptual artwork in Asia on Sunday, the "Xuzhen Supermarket", which is expected to sell for between 900,000 to 1.5 million Hong Kong dollars ($115,000 to $191,624).

The "Xuzhen Supermarket" was created by Chinese artist Xu Zhen. Looking like a regular small supermarket, its shelves are stocked with empty packaging sold for the same price as the regular products.

The installation piece was on display at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Center on Friday. It drew a crowd of art lovers, including one who spent hundreds of Hong Kong dollars buying the supermarket's 'products'.
After it goes under the hammer at Sotheby's Modern Art Evening Sale, the successful bidder will get a certificate signed by Xu that allows them to reconstruct and run the conceptual supermarket.
