Organizers say more than 100,000 people attended the MCM Comic Con at the ExCeL London exhibition center in London last weekend. Many were dressed as fictional characters from comics, movies, TV series, and more.
This kind of costumed role-play is known as "cosplay", an abbreviation of "costume play", and fans, or "cosplayers", travel the world to attend comic conventions.
