High demand for quality products offers opportunities for Hungary in China
The Hungarian pavilion launched on Alibaba's e-commerce platform Tmall on Nov 5 is trying to win favor with Chinese consumers with its feature products, including wine, food and cosmetics.
Chinese consumers' demand for high quality products has presented opportunities for Hungarian exports to China, according to István Nagy, Hungary's minister of agriculture.
"The ongoing China International Import Expo is one of China's attempts in opening its market to the world. Hungary is well-known for its organic agriculture products. China and Hungary can cooperate in various areas in the agricultural sector," said Feng Zhiyong, deputy director of Shanghai Municipal Agricultural Commission.
There are dozens of products available at the Hungarian pavilion, and it is expected the e-commerce channel will be able to introduce more products from a broader range of areas in the future, according to Agnes Karteszi, commercial consul at the Consulate General of Hungary in Shanghai.
