WASHINGTON -- Magic Johnson, Los Angeles Lakers president of basketball operations, said on Monday that he has faith in the team's coach after the Lakers had an underperforming start to the season.
The Lakers, considered a strong postseason candidate after signing LeBron James in free agency, have struggled at the start of the season, belting just four wins out of 10 games.
"He's going to finish the season," Johnson said. "Unless something drastic happens, but it won't happen."
Earlier this week, Johnson talked to Walton and is eager to see the Lakers move in a more positive direction.
"Luke took care of it and we're all good. It's no big deal," Johnson added.
