Neato launches new robot vacuum for China at CIIE
Neato Robotics, the US-based smart robot manufacturer, said the first China International Import Expo will serve as a comprehensive platform to bring global companies closer to China from long-term perspective.
The company brought the Neato D3s -- its latest intelligent robot vacuum customized for the Chinese market -- to the CIIE in Shanghai, with the aim of better serving Chinese customers and further promoting its brand in the country.
“We are pursuing high coverage. It is not just a robot that aids someone doing the floor cleaning job -- it is a replacement. So we set a higher standard for performance, as it is for a heavy user who has high expectations for product performance and intelligence level,” said Zhu Jie, general manager of Neato Robotics China.
She said China has been one of the company’s largest markets in the world, and Neato is honored to launch its new product tailored for China at the CIIE.
“We found Chinese cities not only have the highest penetration of online shoppers in the world, but also the fastest-growing middle-income group,” said Zhu. “The country’s market potential certainly remains attractive for many global companies in different sectors.”
Neato’s business mainly focuses on developing intelligent laser navigation, smart home connectivity and cleaning technologies. It operates two factories in China and a customer service center in Suzhou. In addition to the US, the company’s major overseas markets are China, Germany, Italy and France.
