China's top 10 wealthiest post-80s billionaires
Huang Zheng, founder of online discounter Pinduoduo, has taken top spot on the Hurun Young Entrepreneurs Rich List 2018 with wealth of 95 billion yuan ($13.7 billion), followed by Bytedance's founder Zhang Yiming and DJI's founder Wang Tao, with wealth increases of 124 percent to 65 billion yuan and 25 percent to 45 billion yuan from a year earlier, respectively.
The list, published by business magazine Hurun on Oct 24, ranks 50 billionaires born after 1980 who hold a total of 481.6 billion yuan. Each of the 50 has a worth of at least 2 billion yuan.
The 50 young billionaires mainly come from tech industries, including online gaming, blockchain, advanced manufacturing, internet service, education and entertainment. Online games created the largest group on the list with eight.
Altogether there were 17 newcomers, seven of which came from blockchain.
Beijing boasts the highest number of people on the list with 20, while Shanghai has eight and Guangzhou six.
