Courtyard by Marriott opens its first Taiwan-based management hotel
Marriott International, Inc. on Friday announced the opening of the 227-room Courtyard by Marriott Taipei Downtown.
The hotel includes environmental protection and energy-saving features, modern technology, along with eastern and western art.
Located within walking distance of the metro, the hotel is an eight-minute-drive from the Taipei Songshan airport and 45 minutes from Taoyuan International Airport.
"With convenient transportation in the downtown area, Courtyard by Marriott Taipei Downtown combines eastern and western design elements," said Kathy Chen, Courtyard by Marriott Taipei Downtown general manager.
"With ingenious ideas throughout the hotel, we hope to bring joy into the busy lives of our guests and enable them to enjoy a joyful and unforgettable stay," she said.
The hotel features 227 modern guestrooms with views of the Taipei skyline. All rooms include areas for work and relaxation.
The MJ Kitchen on the lobby floor offers an all-day experience with open kitchen and a variety of cuisine, while the lounge serves drinks and snacks.
The Drift Lounge Bar with an outdoor deck, located on 14th floor, serves a variety of snacks and desserts, coffee, tea, wine, liquor and cocktails.
