Shop on ice at world's 1st supermarket ice rink

A British supermarket chain store called Iceland launched the world's first supermarket ice rink by refitting its Stratford store in East London with 250 square meters of synthetic ice.

It allows customers to glide through the aisles as they as they bag a tasty bargain in a first of its kind supermarket experience.

A locker room area was installed where shoppers were invited to swap their footwear for skates.

The in-store skating trial passed the test of two professional skaters who took to the ice delighting shoppers with a performance.
