New Beijing airport uses intelligent robot for electrical inspections
The new Beijing Daxing International Airport has put its first intelligent inspection robot into use in its substation.
The robot has largely improved the electrical inspection efficiency. It can check the variations of electric power in 10 to 30 seconds, while manual inspection to examine each spot requires about one to two minutes.
Meanwhile, the small robot can record and analyze electrical data as well as also alert staff when power is low.
Additionally, based on its intelligent inspection identification, the accuracy of the robot has stayed at a rate of 90 percent.
The Beijing Daxing International Airport is the first airport in the country where the electric power company has been fully in charge of its construction and maintenance work and the substation is also the first one using fiber optic protection for its distribution work, according to the city's reform and development commission.
