86 Shanghai math teachers recently concluded a fruitful two-week visit to more than 40 British schools during which they taught British students and exchanged ideas with local teachers.
The visiting teachers were the latest to participate in a bilateral government-led exchange program that began in 2014 and that has drawn participation from more than 700 Chinese teachers.
So far, more than 5,000 British primary schools have adopted Chinese-style math teaching techniques, the effectiveness of which has been recognized by UK teachers and education experts.
