Smart Cinema's new version embraces social innovation
The comprehensive advancement of mobile network infrastructure and the rapid development of mobile internet technology have provided strong support for the popularization of Smart Cinema and will help release the huge potential of the film market.
For example, in Tibet, there are 30 physical cinemas with a total of 86 screens. Of the 77 district-level administrative regions, 63 have no physical cinema; the annual per capita viewing admission to cinema is only 0.5. On April 6, 2019, Smart Cinema screened the ethnic film "Gesang Meiduo" in Mangkang, Tibet, where no physical cinema exists, and successfully turned people's smartphones into movie screens.
Representatives from collaborating partners such as Well Go USA and Aspiegel Ltd also signed agreements at the launch ceremony to implement the Smart Cinema app in overseas markets such as the North America, Spain, South Korea and the Chinese regions of Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan.
"According to statistics, there are more than 60 million Chinese living abroad. The emergence of Smart Cinema has broken the geographical restrictions, satisfying overseas audience's demand for Chinese movies, and allowing the world to fall in love with them, too," Gao said.
