A series of tech-enabled cheongsams made their debut at the news conference of the Edinburgh Art Festival-Shanghai Season IV at Shanghai Donghua University on Aug 15.

Designed by the students and professors from Donghua University and supported by professional tech teams and local apparel brands, the collection features cheongsams that are 3D-printed as well as those that can glow and transform.

Supported by the 2019 Shanghai Cultural and Educational Integration Project, the debut collection will be showcased at the Edinburgh Art Festival in the UK later this month.

Designs from the Shanghai Fashion Accessories Society and the graduation projects of the Shanghai International College of Fashion and Innovation (SCF) were also displayed at the news conference.
