China beat Netherlands for 9th straight win in Women's Volleyball World Cup

OSAKA, Japan - China powered to their ninth straight victory, maintaining a perfect 9-0 record at the FIVB Volleyball Women's World Cup after outplaying the Netherlands 3-1 (25-19, 25-16, 21-25, 25-19) on Friday.
China are quite close to defend their title at the World Cup with two games remaining, meeting next Serbia and Argentina respectively, in the 12-team round-robin tournament. China paved the way on title defense after beating arch-rivals USA 3-0 on Monday to snap the Nations League champions' six-game winning streak.
The Netherlands entered the match with China with a record of five wins and three defeats, ranked fourth behind second-placed USA and third-placed Russia.
