HK and Shenzhen students join in learning and celebration

Nearly 200 youths from the Hong Kong SAR and Shenzhen expressed their love to the country through a music flash mob in Shenzhen Youth Square on Sept 28, in celebration of the upcoming 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China.[Photo by Parker Zheng/chinadaily.com.cn]  Video

The pavilion is the country's first to feature the two region's hundreds of years of history. As such, it serves as a perfect exchange platform for the visiting youths.

A lecture was given by historical researchers, helping the visitors learn more about Chinese history and enhance their sense of cultural identity.

The music performance was "spectacular," said Ng Ka-ki, a 19-year-old student from Hong Kong who is studying at Shenzhen University.
