Foreign journalists visit National Day exhibition

He is interested in the development of army weapons and diligence of the officials showcased in the display and said "insistence and enthusiasm" were the key reasons why China could take the country start from its modest beginnings to today's top position in economy and international society.

Mohamed Osman Abdi, a journalist from Somalia, said he enjoyed the exhibition, from which he learned more about China, adding that high-speed trains, construction of bridges across the sea, space exploration and advanced technology related to health are all "very impressive".

These journalists will be at the scene in front of Tian'anmen Square to cover the grand celebration on Tuesday.

Pelenah said he will be both a reporter and a spectator. Having seen previous celebrations on television and read about them in a newspaper, sitting on the viewing platform as a member of the media covering the event is a "once in a lifetime opportunity".
