Peng Zhiying: Blizzard redefines the blue ocean

Good afternoon, distinguished guests, online and offline participants!
I'm Peng Zhiying, a volunteer at the ZS Institute. Today, I'd like to share with you my experiences at the institute and my own spiritual journey, as well as some reflections on life.
In my 40s, I was a little confused, until recently when I had the privilege of attending a workshop held by the institute. The workshop made me suddenly see the light. I became aware that I didn't understand the truth of life and was living in my own prison. The feelings of being confused and trapped made my life dull and pointless.
After attending the workshop, I realized that I had been trapped by the small self for so long. How did I get out of the small self and find the power of the greater self? Luckily, I found such a path, that is, I became a volunteer.
Having begun to work as a volunteer, I discovered that we can serve more people than just ourselves. I didn't make the most of my life. Now I understood that we live not for our own selfish interests, nor for material gain, but to serve people.
I have been a full-time volunteer for nearly three years. This period seems neither long nor short. It was in my 40s, the golden period of my life, that I became a full-time volunteer, devoting all my time to volunteer work far away from home. What have I gained from it?
I call myself a "sweeping monk" at the ZS Institute, handling learning affairs, helping regional development and serving "ski run" building of corporations. Continuing with the volunteering work, I find it is not becoming easier because of its noble purposes. On the contrary, the work has been brought to the spotlight and magnified by others, which allows no mistakes and grows expectations. So volunteers need to put in more effort.
Being a volunteer, I faced many huge challenges at the ZS Institute. I used to be familiar with and handle the affairs of running my own company, and nothing ever stumped me. However, I met frustrations here. If it was something for my own company or benefits, maybe I could just give up, or pause, or have a rest. But since I'm working for the benefit of others and more people, I can't and dare not do that. I have to keep moving and keep fighting all the way.
In the face of many challenges, I told myself I needed to try a little harder, do a little more and take one more step forward no matter how hard it is. When I did that, I felt I pressed a key, a key to jumping out of the small self to touch the greater self, to draw the power of heaven and earth. The small self alone is not enough to push me through the challenges. However, when I move forward a little and work a little harder, I gain access to the power of the greater self. At that moment, I am deeply moved!
I am acutely aware it is because I am doing things that benefit people's minds that I have the chance to experience the power of the greater self, which is a million times greater than that of the small self. I think it is the great power of following heavenly principles.
I believe this is something all entrepreneurs here, including me, have been dreaming of. We look forward to such a great power to smoothly run our businesses. You have such commitments, and so do I. Now I know how to gain the power.
But should I return to my company and grow it several times larger? I thought about it, but later realized that such a big nation does not lack a company worth 1 billion or even 10 billion yuan, and that I am not supposed to borrow the power of heaven and earth to satisfy my selfish interests. If this power can be used to help entrepreneurs who are as confused, trapped or even frustrated as I was before, I am ready to put aside my own gains and losses and help them. If I can find a way out for the families who don't know how to solve their difficulties and conflicts, I am ready to put aside my own affairs and help them. In the process of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation, I am ready to make contributions and put aside my family, my wealth and even my life like my predecessors.
I think that the power is endowed by heaven for the purpose of serving people, not my own company. I posted two banners in my office:
One says, "Racing against time to benefit others".
The other says, "No complaint and no tiredness".
There is a saying at the institute: We are ready to go anywhere day and night, 5+2, 7 days a week and 24 hours a day! I can say I have made it!
I can see and understand those efforts made by teachers and sages day and night. If I don't devote my life to it, I can't live up to the expectations of those families and the ZS Institute, and I will feel guilty for my position and for the people. My greatest contribution at the institute is to dedicate myself to benefiting others every second. That's the need of everyone, and also the need of my own life. I'm willing to do this, and I'm doing it.
During Spring Festival last year, a teacher taught us five words, "no complaint and no tiredness". These four words struck me like thunder and lighted up my life. I was wondering how many times I have complained and how many times I have felt tired in the past 40 years of my life. I always thought that I had done enough, so complaining made me feel powerless, and then felt tired after doing small things and making small achievements. That made me lose motivation.
I put the five words in a frame in my office as the "light of my life". To my surprise, when I deeply etched these words in my heart and put them into practice, I understood that all grievances and complaints indicate incompetence! It further strengthened my determination to serve the people and help more volunteers and companies in various places. This determination has become steadfast, firm and powerful.
So I began to help companies all over the country. I think Chinese culture can help those companies that encounter difficulties, boundaries and bottlenecks. Now that we have so much material wealth, people's desire for spiritual growth and happy families is the goal of our work. The ski run I am talking about, in essence, is to benefit people's souls. The secret of the ski run lies in the fact that it breaks the barriers between staff members and customers, between customers and companies, and between volunteers and customers and opens up the doors of companies.
Let our products go to the outside world, and let the many consumers, customers and volunteers there become helpful to our company. Are the barriers between entrepreneurs, customers and volunteers necessary after all? No. We set the barriers, only to find our own hearts imprisoned and ourselves confined in the increasing smaller self world. The volunteers and the "ski run" aim to break down all these barriers.
I'm very excited and willing to help those companies, because as an entrepreneur, I have experienced the depression and deep pain of failing to get out for three, five, and even eight or 10 years, and the verge of giving up.
That is why I say this is like nuclear weapon. Every night I think about how to help all companies and entrepreneurs, and then help more people together.
That is how the three-hour workshops attended by Mr. Liao and Mr. Tan and other entrepreneurs come into being. We have worked with companies and volunteers from all over the country to hold thousands of sessions, which have benefited hundreds of thousands.
I often hear an echo at night: "Mrs. Zhiying, another couple won't get divorced thanks to the help of the three-hour workshop today!" "Another employee will not quit thanks to the help of the three-hour workshop today!" "Another company will come closer to its customers thanks to the help of the three-hour workshop today!" Every echo and every progress are the power that inspires me to move on and keep fighting.
I want to thank these companies and the customers we serve.
A blizzard is in fact the potential energy that we wield, and laying the ski run means we break the bottlenecks that have existed for years.
In this sense, am I only helping companies? I'm helping all our entrepreneurs return to the essence of business, unveil business civilization and win over people's hearts, so that business returns to its essence and becomes being needed.
But the credit goes not to me, but to volunteers all over the country who are serving so many companies. As we know, Joru Group aims to serve the elderly, so hundreds and thousands of people from all over the country have become volunteers at the Joru Group, Jialeyuan Group and other companies. I know that all volunteers share the same goal as me, that is, to make people's lives a little better and to make their spiritual world a little freer and richer.
I think both volunteers and companies are willing to help others and become a community benefiting others. This "ski run" will become the most important manifestation in our business in 2020.
How do we make it? With the help of volunteers, we leverage the three-hour workshops and work with entrepreneurs to achieve only one goal, that is, to benefit more!
It doesn't take much effort to benefit others, because benefiting others follows heavenly principles and receives the power of "being needed". If we follow heavenly principles, we will get help from heaven!
I work as a volunteer, built the "ski run" and benefit families. The three-hour workshops are held in mines, communities, companies, families, schools and even prisons. The main reason is that people need them. When people need them, we spread Chinese culture to them at the right moment. We provide this little service, but amplify the energy of our life. This is exactly what I, and our volunteers all over the country, need. I think it is also the need of all the entrepreneurs here. It's not about personal interests but service. It's not about making money but benefiting the growth of others.
Our volunteers are helping companies, and our companies are also helping volunteers. Let's be helpful to each other, tear down barriers between us, become "being needed" together and benefit more together.
I am a volunteer at the ZS Institute. Those in uniforms like this and that are all volunteers here. I'm honored to stand here, but actually volunteers do more than me. If they were standing here, they would tell more wonderful stories than me.
Some companies have started to become volunteers for customers. I sincerely call those entrepreneurs attending the forum for the first time today to become our colleagues and become volunteers benefiting others!
Thank you! Best wishes to all of you!
