Xinjiang to hold winter tourism trade fair
URUMQI, Nov. 20 (Xinhua) -- The 14th Xinjiang Winter Tourism Trade Fair is scheduled to be unveiled in the city of Altay, northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, on Nov. 27, when the region will embrace its golden period for winter tourism this year, local authorities said Wednesday.
The trade fair will last from November 2019 to March 2020. More than 400 cultural and tourist activities will be launched during the period, according to the regional culture and tourism department.
Three meetings and forums, as well as four exhibitions on winter tourism products and cultural tourism, will also be held during the fair. From Nov. 27 to 30, the ice and snow equipment and creative cultural products exhibition will be presented in Altay. From Dec. 13 to 15, winter tourism products will be displayed on a fair in the city of Urumqi, the capital of the region.
The winter tourism trade fair has been held each year since 2006.
