A new adaptation of Goethe's classic dramatic play "Faust" directed by Lithuanian director Rimas Tuminas will premiere in Beijing in January.
Starring famous Chinese actors Liao Fan as Mephistopheles, the devil, and Yin Zhusheng as Faust, the play will be staged from Jan 9 to 12 at Beijing Poly Theater.
Based on a classic German legend, the play tells the story of Faust, a discontented scholar who makes a deal with the devil in order to attain worldly pleasure at the expense of his soul.
Tickets are now available at the theater's official website, with prices ranging from 180 yuan (about $25.6) to 880 yuan.
