Lululemon partners with UN Foundation for wellness initiative
In partnership with the United Nations Foundation, lululemon launched Peace on Purpose last October — a program to support the mental and physical well-being of UN development and humanitarian workers on the front lines of global conflicts and challenges.
In response to the COVID-19 global health crisis, the two parities are making their tools accessible for UN development and humanitarian workers digitally. Their mission is to equip global development and humanitarian workers with mindfulness tools to care for their own mental and physical well-being so they can effectively care for others. The content will also be free for anyone to access, covering issues universal to many at this moment in time, including anxiety, challenge, isolation and insomnia. The content will be relevant for everyone, from those who are currently working from home, those juggling virtual education for their children, the unemployed and frontline healthcare workers protecting us all.
Available starting May 12 in 13 languages, these Peace on Purpose mindfulness tools will be offered in an audio format via Insight Timer, an online platform and app that brings together mediation, mindfulness and mental health experts. The program will be available in guided audio meditations ranging from 2-30 minutes in length.
The Peace on Purpose content consists of six mindfulness tools: "Finding your Calm", "Working with Anxiety", "Responding to Challenge", "Cultivating Connection", "Letting Go" and "Settling into Sleep", with each tool consisting of three recordings for a total of 17.
