Li: China-US trade should follow business rules, market
The trade and economic cooperation between China and the United States should follow business rules, and the two sides should leave the decisions to the market and business leaders, Premier Li Keqiang said on Thursday.
The two economies have become closely interconnected, with both sides benefiting tremendously from their business cooperation, Li said at a news conference after the closing of the third session of the 13th National People's Congress.
Citing the case of a high-tech US firm initiating a new investment project in Wuhan a few days ago, Li said this example proved that the business communities of two countries need each other and their partnership can be mutually beneficial.
The premier said that the two countries should continue to work together to follow the consensus reached between the leaders of the two countries, and foster the Sino-US relationship based on the keynotes of coordination, cooperation and stability.
