The wine industry has promising prospects as the living standards of Chinese people continue to rise, Xi said.

By the end of 2019, Ningxia had 38,000 hectares of vineyards and an annual output of 130 million bottles of wine. The annual output value of the autonomous region's wine industry reached 26 billion yuan ($3.67 billion). Ningxia wine has been exported to over 20 countries and regions, including Germany, the US, Belgium and Australia.
