Shenyang museum's chocolate figurine souvenir captures growing attention
Chocolate of Lu Duan, the first creative product from the Shenyang Palace Museum, is gaining growing attention after its recent debut.
The molded chocolate is the museum's first attempt to help people bring a bit of culture and history back home and enjoy cultural "relics" via souvenirs with unique designs.
The chocolate's prototype is one of the top three most favorite cultural relics in Shenyang. Lu Duan is an auspicious animal in ancient Chinese legend. It can travel about 9,000 kilometers a day and master all kinds of languages.
A museum map is included with the chocolate as an extra gift.
It is not only a dessert, but also represents a part of history. The product highlights the distinctive value of cultural and creative industries. It also shows the city's effort to combine the past with modern life, said Su Yang, the museum's cultural and creative industry director.
