Visit to the hometown of pandas
Sichuan, a province in southwest China, is home to giant pandas. With 16 giant panda nature reserves housing more than 80 percent of China’s giant pandas, the giant panda coexists with tens of thousands of the world’s rare plants and animals in harmony.
The comfortable environment of Sichuan not only provides a paradise for the giant panda but also forges a unique landscape and culture of Sichuan. The Department of Culture and Tourism of Sichuan province has launched an English-language vlog series titled “A Visit to the Hometown of Pandas” to show the charm of the giant panda habitat in terms of humanity, nature, ethnic customs and so on, so as to unlock the natural and cultural code of “Beautiful Sichuan, More Than Pandas.”
Following the route of the vlogger, tourists will experience Sichuan, the Land of Abundance, by exploring the mysterious panda habitats in Fengtongzhai, Tangjiahe, and Wanglang nature reserves, experiencing the graceful customs of Tibetan and Qiang ethnic groups and appreciating the magical charm of world natural and cultural heritages.
