Artworks recommended by dozens of galleries and cultural institutions are on show at this year's Beijing Contemporary, held at the 798 Art Center through Wednesday, invigorating the capital's cultural scene that has been overshadowed for months by COVID-19.
The event, under a theme of Art Expo for Tomorrow, combines both physical and virtual experiences of visiting and dealing in art this year by launching an online expo, Art Loop, which will end Oct 24. It offers art lovers and collectors access to more works and direct communication with the artists.
The physical expo also includes a special program advocating for the protection of intangible cultural heritage, highlighting paintings created by children.
