Awards for sustainable brand development in fashion handed out
Five China Green Carpet Fashion Awards (GCFA), including the GCFA Eco Stewardship Award and GCFA Sustainable Producer Award, have been conferred during the 2020 GCFA in Shanghai Tower on Oct 10.
Inner Mongolia ERDOS Resources Co., Ltd won the GCFA Eco Stewardship Award while Chenfeng Group won the GCFA Sustainable Producer Award. Sun Yuting, the founder of Pearlosophy, was granted the Asia Women Empowerment Award, Zheng Zhigang was granted the GCFA Asia Visionary Award, and singer Li Yuchun was granted the GCFA Asia Changemaker Award.
Jointly organized by the Italian National Fashion Chamber (CNMI) and the sustainable brand consulting company Eco-Age, the GCFA is the world's first award encouraging sustainable brand development in the fashion industry. This year, the award was introduced in China for the first time during the Shanghai Fashion Week by APAX Group.
Ten awards were announced at this year's Green Carpet Fashion Awards, among which five were presented at the offline stage in Shanghai.
"The Green Carpet Fashion Awards is of great significance to China on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Italy. It will further increase the exchanges, cooperation and deep friendship between Italy and China on the road of promoting the sustainable development of fashion," said Carlo Capasa, Chairman of the Italian National Fashion Chamber.
