Lesaffre signs three agreements at CIIE
Lesaffre has signed three agreements with Chinese companies during the ongoing third China International Import Expo (CIIE).
The French yeast manufacturer signed a cooperation agreement with snack company Bestore from Hubei province on Nov 7 before inking another two strategic partnership agreements on Nov 9 and 10 with aquatic products companies Nutriera Group and Yuequn Biotechnology, both of which are based in Guangdong province.
"The CIIE has brought us many opportunities in getting to know potential buyers, and this is why we have participated over the past three years," said Jean-Philippe Poulin, the president for Lesaffre China.
"We appreciate the continuous opening up of the China market and have seen an improvement in the business environment here."
Poulin added that the company has also been discussing possible cooperation opportunities with a host of other local enterprises.
Lesaffre, which organizes the annual Bakery World Cup, has displayed the winning artwork from this year's competition at its CIIE booth. Many visitors can be found posing for photos with the artwork which comprises five pandas made from bread. The artwork was designed by Team China.
