China holds first Customs Salon with foreign reps

Xu Chen, deputy secretary general of the China Customs Brokers Association and executive dean of the Academy of Open Economy Studies, discussed the customs clearance process for foreign products entering China.
Xu also answered questions and exchanged ideas with foreign guests on topics of concern, such as COVID-19 induced changes, import procedures of fresh food and an update on the business environment in China.
The Customs Salon will be held every two months to invite Chinese customs officials, experts and professional customs brokers to exchange views and insights with participants on issues of general concern. Visits and exchanges to China's airports, ports and free trade zones will also be organized.
