China Soong Ching Ling Foundation and Tencent to jointly help China's youth
China Soong Ching Ling Foundation signed a framework agreement for strategic cooperation with Tencent in Beijing on May 10, aiming to promote the development of youth together.
Wang Jiarui, vice-chairman of the 12th CPPCC National Committee and chairman of China Soong Ching Ling Foundation, said youths are the future of the country, and he hoped both parties can collaborate deeply to take care of and protect the healthy growth of the youth.
According to the agreement, in the next five years, both sides will cooperate in many aspects including promoting literature creation for the youth, inheriting traditional Chinese culture and developing creative voluntary service mechanism for them.
China Soong Ching Ling Foundation and Tencent also launched their first program, Tencent Youth Week, which will be held from May 24 to June 1. The event is inviting 100 scientists to communicate with teenagers.
On May 26, several top scientists including the Chinese Academy of Engineering academicians Wang Hongyang and Su Donglin will deliver lectures to popularize science through livestream.
