For many Chinese netizens, the best images of summer come from Miyazaki Hayao's animated films. They coined a phrase, "summer of Miyazaki Hayao", to describe the warm feelings which the Japanese director presents in his productions that have won great acclaim in China.

Miyazaki Hayao & Ghibli's World, an exhibition to be opened at Today Art Museum in Beijing on June 12, promises a pleasant experience to escape the summer heat and venture into the world of Ghibli.

On show will be some 300 reproductions of Ghibli's animation drawings, 21 film trailers and recreations of some of the best-known scenes from the films.
