South African scholar: CPC seeks benefits for the people
Political parties should use their power in the interest of the people and for the benefit of society, and the Communist Party of China's achievements can be measured by its impact on Chinese society, said a South African scholar at a recent online forum.
Busani Ngcaweni, head of the National School of Government in South Africa, said the CPC's achievements can be reflected in poverty reduction, scientific and technological innovation as well as economic growth. He said parties in different countries face different situations, but they should still strive to benefit the people.
He made such remarks at the virtual forum titled "The Status and Role of Political Parties: Governance in Developing Countries" held by the Party School of the Central Committee of CPC on June 8.
