Leading automakers to debut products, tech at CIIE
The top 10 automakers worldwide have all confirmed their attendance at the fourth China International Import Expo, with their latest products and technologies debuting at the event which runs from Nov 5 to 10 in Shanghai.
International brands such as Volkswagen, BMW, Jaguar and Ford will showcase their premium models and solutions at the 30,000-square meter automobile exhibition area, said Tian Guozhuang, director of the auto exhibition area at the business roadshow held by the CIIE Bureau, the Shanghai Morning Post reported on Aug 24.
The automobile exhibition area, featuring vehicle and auto parts subsections, has expanded its smart transportation subsection and established a special section for incubating companies.
Technologies like automatic driving, intelligent network, auto chips, new energy and sustainable development will be showcased at the smart transportation subsection, Tian said, adding global suppliers such as Mobis, Plastic Omnium and Espec will also attend the event with their latest products and technologies.
"The latest achievements of automobile enterprises in electrification will also be launched at the CIIE this year, in response to the targets of carbon neutrality and peak carbon dioxide emissions," Tian said.
