CIFTIS boosts services cooperation between HK, mainland
With dynamic demonstrations at this year's fair for trade in services, Hong Kong is set to showcase its new functions, advantages and positions under the 14th Five-Year Plan and boost cooperation with the Chinese mainland, according to Kevin Chan, Northern China regional director of the Hong Kong Trade and Development Council.
"The Hong Kong Pavilion this year uses many dynamic designs to present the integration of the service industries of Hong Kong and the mainland", Chan said to China Daily Website during an exclusive interview on Sunday.
With digital developments highlighted at many exhibitions this year, Chan believes "digital" and "technology" remain two keywords for future economic development.
"We hope to introduce the advantages of the services industry in Hong Kong, especially technology cooperation, to the mainland and international markets, as well as Hong Kong's new functions, advantages and positions during the 14th Five-Year Plan period," the director said.
