COP15, a key United Nations biodiversity conference, will soon be held in Southwest China's Kunming. With this upcoming event, the topic of biodiversity will once again be under the global spotlight.
As one of only a few countries with what's called "mega-biodiversity", China's role is all the more important. Thanks to relentless conservation efforts, wildlife habitats in key areas have improved and ecosystems have recovered at a stunning pace.
